Sam’s Club Member Access Platform (MAP) works with brands to produces on-site banners and branded webpages, reaching over 42 million monthly members with their content.
As an art director and designer on the team, I collaborate with our marketing team to integrate Sam’s Club's brand identity, voice and member insights with various brand’s messaging and products. This includes designing and directing creative content that tells compelling stories and provides members with persuasive reasons to consider specific products or services as necessities.
Given the diverse range of products offered by Sam’s Club, my team collaborates with over 165 multinational conglomerates and regional mono brands, such as Apple, Disney, General Mills, Hershey’s, Nestle, P&G, Pepsi, Samsung, Unilever, and many others, to create advertising that assist members in discovering the items and services they require.
From the moment members arrive at samsclub.com, they are immediately exposed to our ads.
These ads are prominently featured on the homepage within the initial carousel and interspersed throughout the page amidst various category navigations. Additionally, they serve as anchors on most category pages (like seen above), representing each broad product category. Annually, our small team generates several thousand pieces of creative content, which are displayed for durations ranging from a day to an entire season.

Our team, in collaboration with our MAP marketing partners, works closely with leading brands to develop unique and customized microsites or “brand pages”.
These brand pages are meticulously designed to tell engaging stories and offer valuable insights into the motivations behind consumer purchases. Often launched in tandem with holidays or major product releases, these initiatives enhance the overall shopping experience for our members. Some brands (like Samsung, above) utilize these platforms to showcase comprehensive overviews of their product offerings, further enriching the browsing journey.
